This easter, Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm was once again converted into one big soul fiesta wondrously vibrating under a full blood moon.
Whilst the outside world contemplated prophecies of doom linked to this blood moon I was contently a world away being seduced by the smooth guitar strings of Gary Clark Jr.
Gary Clark Jr is a musical sex god. Hmm you might notice there are a few pics of him in this series.
My other musical highlights were:
Wow. Leading Vocalist Brittany Howard is a powerhouse and her stage presence is commanding. During her delivery her face contorts as though she is undergoing an exorcism of some sorts whilst her energy is simultaneously wild yet divine.
What a dynamic Soul performer delivering intense emotion! Love a man that gives it everything his got on stage and then becomes so moved by the experience he sobs.
Soulful, sexy and raspy. Another performer who commands attention and he definitely had mine.
Oh the rhythm and rock created by Mexican acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela. These two rock.
I am bewildered by the music generated with just two guitars.
I dare you to stand still unless of course you can’t keep your eyes of the frenzy and enchantment of Gabriela.
Some other highlights would be witnessing a sober George Clinton. Still the funkiest party on the planet, the mass bliss created by Michael Frantis Soulshine Yoga and of course the many other musical freaks and treats.
Bluesfest I love you.
Thanks for the good vibes people. See you next year.
